About the Blog

Welcome to a journey of learning, growth, and possibility. This blog is more than just a diary—it’s a space where stories of education, technology, service, and everyday life come together. At its heart, it’s about how opportunity and determination can shape lives, and how knowledge, when shared, becomes a powerful force for good.

The true inspiration behind this project lies with my grandparents. They have always been people of immense generosity and empathy, constantly going out of their way to help others aim higher and achieve more. For them, education has never been just about classrooms—it has been about dignity, opportunity, and the courage to dream big. This passion for learning runs deep in our family. My great-grandfather, in fact, was among the first in Punjab to earn a Master’s degree from the University of Lahore—a milestone that set the tone for generations to come.

My grandparents have carried forward that legacy with pride, and now, they are slowly handing the torch to me. They’ve asked me to take on the responsibility of ensuring that Suraj and Saurabh, two young boys from Noida, India, continue to receive the support they need for their education.

Did you know it takes only $30 CAD a month to cover a child’s school fees, books, and uniforms? Meet Suraj and Saurabh, two boys in Noida, India, whose journey proves how something so small can transform everything.

This makes me both proud and eager. What’s incredible is how little it actually takes—just $30 CAD a month covers their school fees, books, and uniforms. And yet, the impact of that small sum is life-changing. I want to do more than simply continue what my grandparents began. I want to grow it. That is why I’ve created this blog—not only to share Suraj and Saurabh’s progress through a timeline of their journey, but also to invite friends, family, and anyone inspired by their story to join me. I’ve set up a Tigly account linked here, where people can contribute toward their education. Every donation helps fuel their dreams, and soon, I hope to travel to India myself to meet them in person and see firsthand the difference that education makes in their lives.

At the same time, this blog is also a reflection of my own path as a student of computer science and engineering. Alongside Suraj and Saurabh’s progress, I will share the challenges and discoveries of my own academic life—from the promise and pitfalls of artificial intelligence to the art of game design and the role of ethics in a technology-driven world. My hope is that by telling these stories together—mine and theirs—I can build a space where readers see how deeply learning, kindness, and opportunity are connected.

Ultimately, this blog is a bridge. It links past and present, Calgary and Noida, classrooms and communities. It honors the generosity of my grandparents, who showed me that education is the greatest gift one can give, and it carries that vision into the future. May these stories serve as a reminder that even the smallest act of support can change the course of a life—and together, we can change far more than one.
